Also commonly called air plants, Tillandsia are quite unique. Medusae, named after Medusa from Greek myth, has curling almost snake like leaves. They do not require soil, as they grow on tree branches. In fact soil can easily damage your plant. To water, mist you plants every 1-3 days with a spray bottle, depending on housing conditions. You can also fully submerge your air plant every 7-14 days for 5 minutes.

Origin

Tillandsia are part of a very large genus, upwards of 600 species, all native to northern Mexico and southeastern United States, Mesoamerica and the Caribbean. They can grow in diverse climates. such as tropical rain forests, swamps, and mountains.
